I got the word from my doctor yesterday .. no gym for two more weeks. What does that mean to me? More time to focus on projects!
By the way, the fact that I can open my windows in May = heaven. I'm sucking up the weather .. every minute of this day. This will probably be the last day this spring that my windows will be open. THAT is a sad thought.
I'm FINALLY able to present to you, my most recent finished project.
A window! It is from a house in Springfield (which means the house was probably built around the 1900s). I've been wanting a window for a little while now. I was so excited for this find.
I had NO idea how much work I was getting into when I first started. Sanding, chipping off paint (that probably had lead in it .. don't worry, I wore a mask!), taping up the glass to paint, painting, drying, painting, peeling off tape, using a razor to do the finishing touches. Yawn. It took several days -- especially with my low tolerance for activity at the moment. But, I got it done!
These guys just walk up to me when I'm outside. I love animals. They brighten my day.
Ta-da! All done! So, where is it going to go .. you ask?
In the hodge podge room!
My loft currently contains all of the randomness it can.
Don't worry, like most everything in my life -- I have a plan.
Just about the only thing that this room has had done to it -- is have a fan installed.
The hall, leading to the loft. A Beau Bear. The guest bathroom (that is also on the to-do-but-I-have-a-plan list). Scott's desk, some Army pictures and memorabilia. My sewing machine.
Dennis.
The window will be hung on this wall, over the futon. The futon was given to us from a family friend. New pillows are on the agenda. Hmm .. maybe I can find a set on Kristina and Laura's Etsy site! The table to the left was in our house growing up. The lamp is one of the few things Scott still has of his moms. We have plans for that, as well. All (except one) of the orchids Scott has gotten me are on the table to the right. That table also has a plan. Anyone need a TV? I've dropped that thing on my foot .. it's in the way and we need to get rid of it! Curtains are coming, too. And painted walls. Dooon't you worry.
Scott's chair. Big plans for this corner. Just you wait! Ha.Hopefully, it won't be long for the next project to be revealed. I will tell you, it has nothing to do with this room!

Your house is so cute! I wish I was even half as creative!
Thanks. :) I can't wait until it is all finished .. but I try not to let my mind get ahead of me .. otherwise I'm disappointed that it can't be "perfect" like I want it to be!
I used to think I wasn't creative, but somehow .. I got the spark! You can do it .. I'm sure of it. :)
