VERY Rachely ..

If you've never heard the phrase "VERY Rachely", you haven't hung out with Scott and I enough. I laughed at myself last night and had to take a quick cell shot of this. On my counter there was: my headband with black rosettes, black and gray damask wrapping paper for a special friend's shower, my black and white damask key and a gift from a friend, my new journal. VERY Rachely.


I received an extremely precious gift from a very valued friend last night. I met Laura one fine day in the NICU. I was still very new and quiet (yes, I just said quiet). She was looking at a magazine, picking out some ideas for a new house that her and her hubby were building. That is definitely my very first memory of Laura.

Our friendship has only grown over the years. We help each other get through miserable days at work or laugh together when the day is good and we're having a blast playing with our patients. We try to solve the problems of our worlds with long chats. We enjoy our playtime with Laura's kiddos, Jordan and Jillian -- otherwise known as JJ and Jillibean. We "ooh" and "aah" over adorable finds on Etsy and never run out of things to chat about.







I look forward to MANY more years of friendship with Laura and value her so incredibly much. I envy her strength. I hope to be as great as a mother as she is one day. It is such a fantastic feeling to know, she'll be with me every step of the way.
