Let me tell you a little bit about Kristina. We met at the ripe old age of three. Three? Yes, I just said three. Jamie Curtis (pictured in the pink skirt, next to crazy haired Me) was our mutual friend and there we sat, at a Fisher Price picnic table, snacking on some birthday ice cream. Kristina? She was sporting the classiest of plastic necklaces and me? Well, I had the crazy hair going on. The same crazy hair I've had everyday since then.

The rest is history. We have a collection of fantastic memories involving years of birthday parties, sleep overs and snowy trips to Vogel State Park, where Kristina would get sick going up the mountains and we'd ice skate on frozen puddles. Together we listened to NSync for hours, memorizing every word and dreaming of the day we'd get to meet them. We were the kids from L-O-R-E-T-T-O, we made our way through Mandarin High and we survived our first year at FSU together. She was my rock when I needed her most during the difficult days of nursing school and celebrated with me when I was pinned. I was there when Kristina married the love of her life and the day we welcomed her son into this world.

Today? She's what I call the best. We laugh, we cry, we celebrate, we support.
Me? I am LUCKY.
23 years, my friends, with many, many more to come.
